I was up pretty late last night working on my submission for Blizzard’s Cataclysm Print Ad Contest (it’s still so far from being finished, lol) but I did manage to get out of bed today in time to participate in Raid From The Heart!
Raid From The Heart was put on by Big Bear Butt (a WoW Blogger), on the Kael’Thas server and was an Alliance vs Horde race to the Thandol Span. Everyone was wearing red tabards and red shirts and it was really fun to see! I rolled a Blood Elf mage and named her Missmediocre, and of course managed to die on route to the Thandol Span (hehe nasty Syndicates). Someone was quick to rez me though, but because of a few other deaths and some pauses for screenshots, the Alliance beat us!
Once everyone reached the bridge there was some dancing and a few PvP deaths before we all jumped off the bridge into the water below. Everyone then formed into a heart in the water, surprisingly with minimal instructions (at least on the Horde side of things). Once many screenshots were taken, everyone headed for shore to be ported to Dalaran. Apparently the Alliance was having magemalfunctions and the horde mage porting us accidentally clicked on his own portal before he’d ported everyone away, so we had to wait for him to make his way back from Dalaran. I had fun waiting around though and managed to snap a screenshot of myself with the Bigbearbutt himself (hehe)!
There are Raid From The Heart t-shirts for sale through Big Bear Butt’s site and the proceeds go to the American Heart Association, so I will try to order myself one and post a pic when I get it!
