100th Post!

Posted October 30th, 2010 by Miss Mediocre

Hello Readers!

I’m very happy to announce that this is my 100th post since starting this blog back in April of this year! I love blogging, especially about gaming, and have been doing it off an on for a few years now. I’ve never enjoyed blogging quite as much as I have with Miss Mediocre though, simply because of those awesome few people who take the time to read what I post and actually comment on it! Checking comments and e-mails for Miss Mediocre really is one of the things I look forward to the most every day, and that’s thanks to all of you!

My goal for this blog is simple, make it awesome! I truly intend to put everything I’ve got into posting and updating and making my blog something that everyone can enjoy! I know everything I’ve posted recently has been pretty focused on WoW, but I do play other games as well, and I may get into posting more about them in the next month or so before Cataclysm gets here! My Sims have been itching to become vampires… hehe

I’m always anxious for ways to improve my site and my posts, so if anyone has some serious blogger advice, or if you’re a fan who was wishing there was more of something, please let me know! When I was featured in Markco’s 5 New Gold Blogs to Watch Out For in Cataclysm, he’d suggested having more ways to interact between reader and blogger, and that’s something I am working on and should have on the site soon! I’ve also started work on my Holiday Event Guides for WoW come Cataclysm and something special that I’m trying out that is scheduled for the end of November! The next few months will be busy, hehe.

Here’s hoping the next hundred go just as well! :D

Thank you all SO much for reading!!

In regards to other games, I quite recommend Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO). It’s an excellent game, with an amazing lore (of course), and has a more ‘worldly’ feel to it than WoW. They (along with DDO which pioneered it, also a good game) have a great hybrid subscription/cash shop model. (I’ve seen some poor ones…) The unique (so far) and great thing is that you can actually earn the cash shop currency IN GAME doing things. I could go on…

I also recommend AGAINST Runes of Magic. Seriously, stay away. Playing it gave me the impression that the developers actively hate us.

Grats on the 100, it’s a great feeling to knock that over.

    Grats on 100 posts. :)
Keep it up girl, I love reading your blog and have passed the addy on to my guild for them to have a nosey too. <3

Indy : I have been meaning to give LOTR Online a try! I’ve had the free trial on my computer for about a month now, but have yet to even make a character! Hopefully I’ll be able to give it a shot before Dec 7! :D

Thank you Gnomeaggedon and Dani! :D

Well, the nice thing about the F2P model is that as a free trial, you’re not time limited. Consider it something to do during Tuesday server maintenance!

Anyway… just how soon do you think they will actually get the servers up and stable after the 4.03 patch hits? I suggest taking off that entire evening for something else. A good time to hop onto LOTRO, or pick up a good book.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Keep up the good work. I read your blog every day. It is part of my routine.

Congratulations on 100+ posts. We’ll keep reading if you keep posting.

PS> I have not been impressed with the free-to-play portion of LOTRO. I have friends who say the full version is great. Maybe I am too used to WoW.

Indy : I’m sure I’ll have time to try it when 4.03 hits, knowing WoW it will probably be pretty unplayable for a few days after the patch, so that will be a good opportunity! I may get to try it as soon as tomorrow, I’ve been playing some Sims Late Night for the last couple days, but I’ve kind of burned myself out on that already, lol.

QuietKjun : Thank you! I will keep posting! :D

A few WoWers who I know who have tried it say it just can’t compare to WoW, but I do love LOTR, so I am hoping I like it! We’ll see I guess, hehe.

Well of course we read it and post, you have some really great things to say and you seem really cool. Hell sometimes I wanna transfer a character over to one of your servers.

Anyway though, please keep posting. As much as you look forward to reading our comments, we look forward to your posts. :]

Rathay : Hehe, aw thanks! I’ve missed you! :D
